This blog is for anyone who has experienced breakouts that deeply impacted them — not just physically, but mentally.

My Story
Sixteen years ago, I began having breakouts. Within six months, my face was covered in acne. It took two and a half years to clear my skin — one of the darkest and most painful times in my life.
I tried everything: the “must-have” products, spa treatments at the place I worked, dermatologists, and prescription drugs. None of it worked. Some were too harsh and only gave me more adverse reactions.
As an esthetician, I felt torn — how could I convince clients to trust my advice when my own skin looked so troubled? That stress only made things worse.
More Than Skin Deep
The journey to understanding my skin was a challenging one. Each stage of acne required different care, and it wasn’t just about the products. During this time, I battled frustration, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression.
I realized that to heal my skin, I also had to care for my mental health. Even the right skincare takes time to show results. What changed everything was shifting my focus: instead of obsessing over the breakouts, I looked at the areas that were healing. I appreciated the undamaged spots and encouraged myself instead of criticizing.
To my surprise, this mindset helped speed up the healing process.
Treat Your Skin Like a Friend
Your skin is a part of you. Imagine if a friend was going through a hard time and all they heard was negativity — “not good enough, still broken, not healed yet.” It would hurt.
Now imagine encouraging that same friend with kindness. That’s how I began to treat my skin: as a friend who deserved compassion, patience, and care.
Skin, Mind, and Soul Connection
Our body, mind, and soul are connected. Healing requires listening — to your emotions, your lifestyle, and your skin itself.
Too many harsh products, too many layers, or aggressive handling often slow down the healing process. Sometimes, your skin needs rest. Sometimes, your whole self does.
Take a holistic view of your lifestyle and overall well-being. You might discover what’s really behind your skin struggles.
Be kind to your skin. Be kind to yourself. Healing is a journey, not a race. ✨
