Have you started noticing seasonal allergy symptoms lately? I have! Today, I want to share my personal experience with allergies — and how aromatherapy became part of my life.

My First Experience with Aromatherapy

Several years ago, I suddenly developed seasonal allergies. My runny nose didn’t stop for three days, even after taking medication. Out of desperation, I tried lavender essential oil — and my symptoms stopped almost instantly. It was my very first contact with aromatherapy.

At first, I didn’t dive deeper. I kept Claritin in my cabinet (recommended by a client) and used it occasionally when symptoms showed up. But eventually, I stepped fully into the aromatic world — and it became my first aid for allergy relief.

The Formulation That Changed Everything

Over time, I discovered a simple yet effective inhaler blend. It worked not only for me but also for my boyfriend, who used to get weekly allergy shots. One day, he was complaining of itchy eyes, so I handed him my personal inhaler. Fifteen minutes later, he had completely forgotten about his symptoms. Since then, he carries one everywhere.

The aromatic blend includes:

  • Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)

  • Lemon (Citrus limon)

  • Spearmint (Mentha spicata)

  • (Sometimes Peppermint is substituted)

To make it: blend the essential oils, soak them into organic cotton, insert into a personal inhaler, and use as needed. Say goodbye to itchiness, congestion, and hello to immune support.

A Few Practical Tips

  • The aroma fades over time, so refresh your inhaler every 4–6 weeks.

  • While face masks can help reduce allergen exposure, I find that my aromatic inhaler is what really keeps my allergy symptoms at bay.

  • This formulation has become a staple in my Aromatic Rituals toolkit — supporting not just me but my loved ones as well.

I’ve also booked my first COVID vaccine, and I’m hopeful everything goes smoothly. Here’s to staying safe, healthy, and supported — inside and out.

Stay safe and healthy
