A Happy New Year! 🌱I hope your 2022 brings you great health and many, many happy returns.

Have you set your New Year’s resolutions?

Many people sign up for the gym or join a yoga studio in January. It feels natural to start something new at the beginning of the year. But I believe resolutions can begin anytime:

  • At the start of a new month or week

  • Quarterly

  • On your birthday

  • On an anniversary

  • Or simply whenever you feel ready for a reset 🌿

The Challenge of New Habits

When trying something new, it always takes time to adjust. If you find it challenging to stick with your resolutions, try looking for your natural rhythm:

  • Allow yourself to skip and then return without guilt.

  • Track your own patterns — maybe you miss every few days, and that’s okay.

  • Having someone to share your progress with can help, but if you don’t, trust yourself and your own pace.

The key is consistency — not perfection. Keep going, and you’ll reach your goal.

Lessons from Skincare and Stretching

In my virtual skincare sessions, I’ve seen clients feel discouraged when they skipped a step in their new routines. They thought it meant failure. But I told them:

“If you skipped day 3, you can keep skipping every 3 days! Build it around your pattern, and over time you’ll naturally expand.

That’s exactly what I experienced with my nighttime stretching. At first, I skipped often. Instead of quitting, I allowed myself shorter sessions. A year later, I’ve gone from 10 minutes to 30 minutes — simply because I stayed consistent without pressure.

The Real Resolution

Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Compare yourself to your past self. That’s where real growth happens.

I hope this perspective cheers you on with your own resolutions this year!

Stay strong, stay kind, and keep going.
